The Indie Artist Spotlight #1 (2015) // ROCK

I'm super excited to finally bring back the weekly podcasts that we've all missed so much. And what a way to start, man! This week is rock themed, and the artists we've got here today are awesome.

1) The Stoles - Man in a Cave
No one can argue that The Stoles are not a hard working and dedicated band. In only two short years they have a four track EP, several videos and now a new single, Man In A Cave to be released. This indie rock band who are based in Dublin but who hail from other parts of  Europe including France, Germany, Poland and Portugal, form a perfect sonic collaboration.

2) The Koniac Net - Floor-less
Spawning all the way from Bombay (India), the debut album, "One Last Monsoon," was written & performed entirely by songwriter David Abraham, and primarily recorded in his bedroom. It plays like a love letter to the Indie & Alternative genres, and the artists/bands that allow these genres to thrive.

3) She Was Loud - Get Loose
Since the release of their debut, self-titled EP in 2013, She Was Loud have been receiving an ever-increasing amount of notoriety around the globe. From receiving such accolades as 'Best International Unsigned Band” from the Twisted Mixtape Radio Show (UK), to earning radio play in both in the UK, Canada & USA, it's clear to see that She Was Loud have transcended the borders and audiences of their home country.

4) The 204 - September
The 204 is an increasingly popular young four-piece band hailing from Brandon, Manitoba. Hard-working but enjoying every second of it, these fifteen-year-olds are constantly striving to share their music with the world!
Their high-energy, catchy pop/rock performances guarantee that everyone leaves whistling a tune

5) Cereja Azul - If You Are Wrong (do it all again)
Blue Cherry is a musical project by Lui. Composition, arrangement, interpretation, capture and mixing is all done at home. Inspired by the motto "do it youself " the punk movement, the harmonies of bossanova, with vocal arrangements and counterpoints à la baroque pop, and the noisy portion of the contemporary city make up the sonic palette of the Blue Cherry.

6) Recruits - Broken
An alternative rock band based in the Scunthorpe - Grimsby UK. After gigging and writing relentlessly along with winning the Rock Open 2014. 'We Are Recruits' EP will be released on the 21st March 2015

7) Did You Die - All the way to Her
Vancouver, BC's Did You Die is an indie-rock three piece that combines 80s pop punk and 90s grunge with a modern approach.
