The Indie Artist Spotlight - July 21st 2014

This week's podcast is acoustic themed and we've got some of the best artists from all corners of the world including Spain, Australia and England.

1) 0:00 - 3:50
Rainmaker - This Town
Lincolnshire-based acoustic duo featuring Matt Raistrick on vocals and Hetty McCarthy on guitar. Brought together by a mutual love of 90's britpop, the band started out making bedroom demos and have since created a home studio where they recorded their self-titled EP, now citing a much wider range of influences from oldschool indie to latin jazz.

2) 3:50 - 7:27
Nathan Abbey - How Not to Eat Oats
Nathan Abbey is a Melbourne-based singer-songwriter. Currently playing in numerous bands, his solo work draws influence from acoustic folk and blues, with a unique Australiana spin. After releasing his first EP last year, and just releasing a live video, he is currently working towards a debut album to be released by the end of the year.
