The Indie Artist Spotlight - July 28th 2014

This week we have a mixture of country, blues, rock and pop from some fantastic artists. Check it out.

1) 0:00 - 3:32
Joe Shelton - The Littles
'Joe has played many one man acoustic shows at fairs, festivals and coffee houses. He spent the last half of 2013 and early 2014 writing, recording and producing an album with a full band along with local Co-Producer, Songwriter and Guitarist Todd Blower.'

2) 3:32 - 6:56
Stella Reilly - I Used To Be Fun
Stella Reilly is barely a day over twenty, yet boasts a wealth of experience that reaches far beyond her years. Her original, soulful take on folk, blended with a good measure of rockabilly and blues, poignantly speaks volumes of her experiences over the past few years, which saw her perform across the UK with her former band, culminating with a coveted slot at T-in-the Park last July.
Since deciding to go solo, Stella has developed beyond expectation, and has been working hard on her debut EP with a host of notable and talented musicians from across Scotland. She is now ready to step back into the spotlight accompanied by her new band.

The Crushing Violets - Fade
The Crushing Violets is a band that blurs the lines between melodic and heavy & darkness and light. The love of many genres is apparent in music that blends together in a unique style all their own. Hailing from New York, The Crushing Violets are: Antanina Brooks - Vocals, BP Brooks - Lead Guitar/Vocals, Trevor Brooks - Rhythm Guitar, Connor Brooks - Bass Guitar. A band that lives to create new sounds, The Crushing Violets are crashing into a world beyond reality, a dream within a dream.
